QR codes on packaging instead of barcodes

GS1 Digital Link combines the product number (GTIN) and a web link in a single QR code. By the end of 2027, retailers aim to scan 2D codes at checkout ("Sunrise 2027") – relevant for farm shops and packaged in-house products.
